Today I have a some photography I did recently!

Pretty self-explanatory.

These mountains are beautiful! I really want to try to paint this.

Itty bitty pine cones!

This is a painting I recently did. It is symbolic of sin, Jesus' blood, and forgiveness, because Jesus' blood washes away our seen and makes us clean.

I've read Little Women at least 3 times, but I've never actually read it in paper book format! I've just read the ebook. I've been wanting a copy of the book for a  long time, but hadn't found the look that I liked. I found this Puffin version online and it is so pretty!

And so, yes, I am reading it again :)

I used the stack of papers that my great-grandfather wrote his life story on to take these pictures.

That was a rather short post, but I hope you still enjoyed it!

Easter Egg Art

Today I'll be showing you a few of the Easter eggs I made! I had fun making them and I love the colors.

This one's color is so beautiful.

This one turned out interesting, the pink is rather speckled and I used a hot pink marker at the bottom. I found that chalk markers showed up on the eggs really well. It is prone to rubbing off though.

This one is my favorite! hehe :)

Acyrlic Fluid Pouring Attempt // FAIL

After watching a few YouTube videos, I decided to attempt an acrylic fluid pour Having never heard of it before, it was a complete experiment. Now, with the correct materials, fluid pours should look something like the picture below (which is not mine), with "cells". You're supposed to mix hair oil or liquid silicone and paint medium to make these cells...

But I didn't have any of those supplies, so I just used water. That is probably why my painting didn't exactly turn out. Anyway, I'll show you how I got the painting I ended with!

I use paper cups to dilute the paint. I used three colors, one of which was glitter. I used the plastic fork to mix the paint with water.

I didn't have a lot of the green or glitter paint so I had to make do.

Then I alternately poured the paint into a small measuring cup.

Here you can see the layers of separation.

I found a big piece of cardboard to protect my workspace. I put the canvas on top of the cup and turned it upside down, then moved the cup to spread the paint. After much dripping and moving the paint around the canvas, I set it on one end to dry overnight.

And this is what I ended up with! Although it doesn't have cells or look like a fluid pour, I will accept it as it is and I think I will still use it on my wall.

And maybe I'll try a fluid pour again in the future when I have the right supplies!

A Look at My Bible Art Journal

I happened to pull out my Bible art journal and looked inside. I haven't added anything new to it for a while, but I think I'm going to get back into it. For now, take a look at some of the things I've already done!

I use the Crossway Single Column Journaling Bible.

I pulled this verse out and illustrated it, because sometimes things may look like they are right and a good choice, but they're actually not. That's why it's important to always talk to God and using the Holy Spirit to make good decisions.

I did this page during a sermon at church. It's simple, yet effective.

This is an important verse, because Jesus states that He is God, using one of God's names from the Old Testament.

My devotional had four things to do as we await the return of Jesus, and used the passage on this page. I like to take things I learn in my devotional and put them in my art Bible.

This is another one I did during church. Jesus is the Truth that sets us free!

As you can tell, I mostly like to take out a verse and make it colorful, artistic, and add a few doodles. It's a fun hobby, and I couldn't choose a favorite out of these!
