A Look at My Bible Art Journal

I happened to pull out my Bible art journal and looked inside. I haven't added anything new to it for a while, but I think I'm going to get back into it. For now, take a look at some of the things I've already done!

I use the Crossway Single Column Journaling Bible.

I pulled this verse out and illustrated it, because sometimes things may look like they are right and a good choice, but they're actually not. That's why it's important to always talk to God and using the Holy Spirit to make good decisions.

I did this page during a sermon at church. It's simple, yet effective.

This is an important verse, because Jesus states that He is God, using one of God's names from the Old Testament.

My devotional had four things to do as we await the return of Jesus, and used the passage on this page. I like to take things I learn in my devotional and put them in my art Bible.

This is another one I did during church. Jesus is the Truth that sets us free!

As you can tell, I mostly like to take out a verse and make it colorful, artistic, and add a few doodles. It's a fun hobby, and I couldn't choose a favorite out of these!

Do you Bible art journal?

Making a Pen-Pal Kit

I recently discovered the idea of pen-pal kits on Pinterest! I thought it was such a cool idea and decided to make a couple for a few of my friends.

The first things I included were these little sticker sets, which have about 5 stickers each to decorate the letters. I put them in small plastic bags and folded pretty paper over the seal. I stapled the paper to the bag to make it look nicer than just a plastic bag.

I also included 5 envelopes, 5 folded pieces of graph paper, 2 stamps, and 2 erasable pens. I would have included 5 stamps, but I didn't have enough on hand.

In this picture, you can see everything I put in the kit. I also put pink and white stick on rhinestones, and a few paper flowers.

It all fit nicely in a pencil box.

I decorated the pencil box with some stickers, and also put each person's name on their box. I put a post it note on it in the picture to cover that up. I made a 3x5 card that says "Let's Be Pen-Pals!". Before I give them away, I'll tie a ribbon or string around it.

I think this is a super fun gift to put together, and one that would be fun to receive! I hope to do more posts in the future about pen-pal ish things too.

From the Sky // Photography from an Airplane

The other day I was scrolling through the photos in my camera roll, when I realized that I had never posted these pictures I took from the plane ride to Florida. I didn't have my camera with me on the plane, so these were just taken with my iPod.

Hope you're having a great week!
